Thread is the new single from Portland post punk trio Darkswoon, taken from their forthcoming album Antivenom, due out via Bay Area dark music imprint Viasonde.
Antivenom marks the band’s fourth full length and further refines Darkswoon’s emotionally charged blend of darkwave, post punk, and shoegaze. The new track nudges the group toward a more expansive shoegaze sound, setting the tone for an album designed to hit as an immersive, atmospheric whole.
Throughout the album, urgency is maintained by unsettled emotions and the overwhelming presence of things left unaddressed.
