How the Story Ends, first heard on an old Kill Rock Stars compilation, appears on the album as one of two covers, along with a new rendition of Neil Young's Red Sun.
Beyond their excellent curatorial judgment, the song itself demonstrates the band's ability to interpret other artists' songs in a way that feels organic rather than ornamental. Their remake reframes the original, effectively incorporating its spirit and textural logic into their new work.
