Shadowing: So Lonely

Shadowing kick off the new year with another undeniable highlight in So Lonely, pulled from their very fresh Body Neutral EP, a release that more than earns a full, front-to-back listen. Arriving with confidence, the new EP positions the Portland, Oregon quartet as a band fully locked into their own tense lane, balancing mood and momentum.

Shadowing is the creative partnership between Keil Corcoran (STRFKR) and Justin Pittney (Lexicon Devil, King Dude), with Matt DeLoach and Spencer Stegeman completing the lineup.

There’s a clear nod to Siouxsie and the Banshees in the way the new song builds, slow-burning and intense, until the chorus erupts with a hardcore punch. When it hits, the release feels genuinely cathartic.

A sharp sound, a true sense of melancholy, and engaging songwriting all collide, making So Lonely, together with the entirety of Body Neutral, a solid listen, cementing the EP's place among the most compelling releases of the year’s opening days.
