Nothing reveal their new offering, toothless coal, off their much anticipating new full length, and it stands as the most My Bloody Valentine–leaning material they’ve ever released, yet still feels precisely like unmistakable Nothing material. The band lean hard into texture and density, allowing familiar shoegaze touchstones to surface without losing their own bruised identity.
Similarly to the preceding offering cannibal world, toothless coal expands on the controlled industrial atmosphere of The Great Dismal highlight, Say Less. Shattering breakbeats rumble, produced with drum loops created by drummer Zachary Jones (MSC, Manslaughter 777), as distorted guitar blasts into the open. It's menacing and magnetizing, taking Nothing's sound into more intense territory.
Nothing will release their new album, a short history of decay, on February 27th, 2026 under their new home label Run For Cover.
