North Innsbruck: Archduke of Nightmares

North Innsbruck return with Archduke of Nightmares, a dark synth / post punk piece that emerges with a distinct kind of late-night menace and analog electricity. Fueled by vibrant synths, a relentless bass drive, and club-ready tension, the track moves quite slyly, presenting equal parts dancefloor propulsion and post-industrial tension.

With Greg Online (Plastik Boxes) handling guitar and lead vocals, Archduke of Nightmares leans into the band's darker edge. As the lead single from the upcoming full length Ritual, the track sets the tone for what’s to come.

North Innsbruck, composed of Minnesota-based collaborators Chris Emblom, Greg Online, and DJ Bionick, continue to occupy the territory between post punk, new wave and electronic, and Ritual promises a deeper descent, steeped in the macabre, and reflecting the grisly undercurrents of a world fractured by political and religious infringement.

Ritual explores the intersection of corruption and power, reimagining the sinister influence charismatic leaders can have over individuals, tearing apart families and splintering communities,” says Emblom. “We live in a frightening reality where religious zealots and corrupt politicians are using lies, desperation and fear as tools of division to leverage the pursuit of power.
