The Ultimate Dreamers: Kids Alone

The Kids Alone EP sees The Ultimate Dreamers challenging their own catalogue and rewiring it through a sharp, electronic lens. Featuring a collection of remixes by Aux Animaux, Mängelexemplar, Kinex Kinex and others, the release finds the band's songs reshaped into stranger, more kinetic forms.

The new single version of Kids Alone is fully re-recorded and reimagined in a spirited Neue Deutsche Welle / electropunk style. Pulsing, and charged with nervous momentum, the track leans into synthetic textures while retaining the band’s signature emotional tension. It’s playful and precise without losing its pulse.

The accompanying video clip is reworked from the 1935 Betty Boop cartoon Baby Be Good, with the visuals blurring the aesthetics that time with nostalgia and subversion, amplifying the song’s off-kilter charm.

As a companion piece to the band’s recent full-length Paradoxical Sleep, The Kids Alone EP extends the same nocturnal universe into new territory.
