Shadowing: No Relief

Portland’s brooding post punk collective Shadowing returns with the gripping new single No Relief. Following the spectral pulse of their debut track Rain Song, the new single plunges deeper into the tension that their sound brings. Throbbing synth bass, sharp guitar work, and flashes of extreme metal aggression collide to create an entrancing and relentless piece, a track that walks the edge between control and chaos. The song also marks the next installment in their upcoming EP, Body Neutral.

This one hits closer to what Shadowing sounds like in our heads,” says Keil Corcoran. “It’s darker, sharper - still melodic, but more relentless.

Shadowing is anchored by the creative synergy of Keil Corcoran (STRFKR) and Justin Pittney (The Devil Is Real), whose combined instincts for rhythm and mood shape the band’s sound. Spencer Stegeman’s vocals  are eerie and emotive, while Matthew DeLoach adds analog grit and layered depth, basing the atmosphere in substantial warmth.
