Shadowing is a new post punk outfit from Portland, Oregon, led by STRFKR’s Keil Corcoran and longtime collaborator Justin Pittney (Lexicon Devil, King Dude). Rounding out the lineup are multi-instrumentalist Matt DeLoach and vocalist Spencer Stegeman.
Corcoran and Pittney’s partnership traces back to their Las Vegas punk roots, where they played desert shows as teenagers. Their fresh project introduces a based post punk sound, blending jagged guitars, stark atmospheres, and driving rhythms, offering an outcome that feels urgent and quite melodic.
Their debut single, Rain Song, sets the tone, founded on reverberating guitars, shadowy vocals, and flashes of hardcore energy, drawing on influences from both the post punk and classic punk rock vanguard.
The track leads into Body Neutral, their anticipated five-song EP recorded in Corcoran’s Portland studio.
