NIGHTSISTER’s new EP, Chill Times in Hell, doesn’t seek to redraw the post punk blueprint, but instead sinks deeper into its darker shades. The title track leans heavily on new wave foundations, steering them toward a brooding, melancholic space, carried by production which feels quite meticulous and a delivery that is stunningly emotive.
The EP release was first introduced with Retrograde, a track belonged in the same shadowy terrain, trading in urgency for a more affecting pull. The new track boasts vocals that cut through with immediacy, placing emotional weight at the core while balancing seamlessly between post punk tension and darkwave atmosphere.
Chill Times in Hell, worth to be experienced in its concise and dense entirety, is out through Summer Darling Tapes.
