NIGHTSISTER are back with the announcement of their new EP, Chill Times in Hell, a title as evocative as the music it contains. Leading the release is the opening track Retrograde, a powerful first taste which delivers exactly what we've come to expect from the duo; brooding intensity wrapped in amazing sentimentality and alluring darkness.
Set for release on July 30th, 2025 via Summer Darling Tapes, Chill Times in Hell was written and recorded by NIGHTSISTER’s core members, Thomas Night and Griffin Campbell.
Retrograde is a dark and unflinching piece, unsurprising from a band known for plumbing the depths of emotion. "The song tackles a raw and emotional reflection of abandonment, inner turmoil, and the lingering pain of unresolved relationships," the band shares. "As well as questioning your own self-worth and other struggles that come with that."
The track simmers with a nervy, edgy tension. Its rough, almost tactile atmosphere walks a tightrope between dreamlike and nightmarish, luring the listener in with its stark vulnerability and haunting charm.
