Claudia Kane: Surrender

London artist Claudia Kane unveils new single and video for Surrender, the debut release on her self-founded label, Villainess. Written, produced, and performed entirely by Kane, the track merges mechanical percussion, dark, melodic synths, and an unflinching vocal delivery to create a tense, sensual sound which is part dystopian revelation, part submission to dimly lit dancefloors.

Directed by Joseph Icaro, the accompanying video extends Kane’s multidisciplinary vision, uniting music, imagery, and narrative into a singular work. Swathed in leather and chrome and presented in stark chiaroscuro, Kane confronts herself in a world of digital surveillance, destructive motifs, and defiant romance.

Claudia Kane unveils: “I start with a scene in my head and create textures and lyrics that feel close, unsettling and haunted by something unsaid.

Video director Joseph Icaro comments: “Surrender is a futuristically stylised meditation on self-surveillance, fate, and the struggle against internal cycles. It explores our reluctance to admit truth - and the inner and outer chaos of this hesitation to break one’s pattern. It suggests that true change and real freedom begins not when we escape the gaze, but when we finally confront it.
