Kallai: The Wave

Kallai's debut album, We Are Forever, out this fall on Little Cloud Records, is already making waves, and its lead single, The Wave, sets the tone with a punching statement.

The track is a robust introduction to the upcoming record, part of which was created in collaboration with Collin Hegna of The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The Wave combines shimmering shoegaze textures with the punch of steady and easily relatable alt-rock. Inspired by Susan Stryker’s essay My Words to Victor Frankenstein Above the Village of Chamounix, the track channels the fury and alienation felt by those society deems monstrous.

Spirited vocals soar above dense guitar surges and a constant rhythm section, creating a sonic perspective of growth through rage.
