Slow Quit: Slowly Quitting

Boston-based quartet Slow Quit emerge with Slowly Quitting, the brooding, slow-burning second single off their forthcoming debut full-length Fusion and Rupture, arriving August 1st via Pleasure Tapes, home to TAGABOW, Knifeplay, and Her New Knife.

Built on a foundation of sharp guitars and thick atmosphere, Slowly Quitting leans fully into the band’s shoegaze leanings, being all dense and melancholic.

Comprising Nick Watter and Adam Straus on guitar, Jeff Carol on bass, and Lauren Crosser behind the drums, Slow Quit create a wistful and powerful sound with an undercurrent of classic dreampop, threaded through with contemporary grit and a production style which feels thorough, yet, not sterile.

Slowly Quitting, the nearly eponymous track of the rising band is a piece which demands attention through mood, tone, and commitment to the genre’s most evocative qualities.
