Bank Myna: L'Implorante

Clocking in at 13-plus minutes, L'Implorante is a notable part of EIMURIA, the new full length by French post rock adventurers Bank Myna, recently released, and as a whole, possibly their most realized work yet. The new album also stands as one of the band’s most immersive and forward-pushing efforts to date, a sprawling, atmospheric work which manages to present their penchant for cinematic scope and their fearless dive into sonic disintegration.

Representing the fractured spirit of sculptor Camille Claudel, L'Implorante spirals through themes of internal collapse and rebirth, personal fracture and catharsis. It’s a track about surrender and reclamation, and it's emotionally.

Melodic fragments rise and fall, merged into the kind of dense, slow-burning intensity at which Bank Myna excels. The track doesn't shy away from heaviness; rather, it builds it with care, layering noise, dissonance, and beauty in a way which feels intimate, and immense.
