Coral Grief: Rockhounds

Seattle’s Coral Grief is making waves with their first offerings. The dreampop are ready to unveil their debut album, Air Between Us, arriving July 18th, 2025, via Suicide Squeeze Records (digital), Anxiety Blanket Records (vinyl), and Den Tapes (cassette).

Leading the charge is their beautiful single, Rockhounds, a shimmering blend of motorik rhythms and dreamlike textures. Lyrically, the song explores the turbulence of one’s twenties through poetic coastal imagery, mirroring the ebb and flow of life’s uncertainties.

Complementing the single is an ethereal video directed by Nick Shively. As Coral Grief pushes the boundaries of modern dream pop, Air Between Us promises to be a defining moment in their promising commencement as a band.

On Rockhounds, Lena Farr Morrissey from Coral Grief shares: "I love beachcombing and searching for small treasures- this song is an ode to that process, especially when you don't find anything but it was still worth the journey. This also applies to appreciating the subtleties of an experience over material gain, which is something I'm always working on. The video is immersive and playful in a similar way, jumping back and forth between a day at the beach and a kaleidoscopic stage."
