Wormhole by East Vancouver noise rockers, Aversions, was recorded in the same sessions as the band's seven-song release You Wanted the Bike from 2023. The song was written during the early days of the pandemic, and explores new creative direction for the band, with power pop and alt-country influences being added to their signature sharp noise rock and post punk edges.
The song describes the horrible price paid by an internet celebrity chasing fame and notoriety; as the walls close in on his dishonest business practices and his descent into obscurity is certain, he finds himself longing to step through an exit into a more innocent time.
