Soul-net, the latest track from DIIV's upcoming album Frog In Boiling Water, was previously available only on the mysterious website of the same title, and now comes with an official music video. The song is a sprawling, emotive shoegaze epic which radiates with a lot of poignancy and culminates in an enigmatic finale.
Together with the bizarre essence of the accompanying video, the song captures the disquiet and detachment of digital age and high-tech advances, presenting something simultaneously profound, intricate, and surreal. While it may be challenging to fully grasp, it's undeniably a compelling piece of DIIV's artistic vision.
Frog in Boiling Water is set to be released on May 24th, 2024, through Fantasy Records.
