Swedish purveyors of post punk and shoegaze goodness, Agent blå, return with new single, Discount, the first example off their upcoming full length, Stab!, arriving on April 12th, 2024 through Kanine Records (USA) and VÅRØ Records (Sweden).
Discount examines the theme of finding comfort in the presence of something haunting. The band brings together their influences from post punk, shoegaze, and guitar-driven alternative rock, while the upcoming album promises a broader spectrum of styles, drawing inspiration from krautrock, instrumental and psychedelic genres, all while staying true to their post punk roots.
The album was recorded in Studio Bella Figura, Gothenburg under simple conditions, something which ultimately played its role in defining the overall sound of the album.
