Circle Trails is the latest offering from the Swedish dreampop and slowcore project, Stainwasher. Following her impressive debut album, The Outer Layer, released in 2022, Stainwasher continues to impress with a rather warm sound which finely fuses elements of slowcore and dark atmospheres.
The haunting Circle Trails comes with a beautiful ambient character, and delves into the intricate theme of the counterproductivity of rumination and obsession. Stainwasher's music has always had a knack for creating immersive moodiness through introspection, and the new single is no exception, producing a riveting, enigmatic sonic landscape.
An upcoming EP by Stainwasher is in the works, promising more of her signature dreamy, contemplative sound, and it's expected to come out on Oh, Sister.
