So, Reverie: Decaying

Decaying, the debut single by the emerging post punk group, So, Reverie, showcases a refreshing blend of indie rock with a gothic influence, taking inspiration from shoegaze and dreampop.

Having been familiar with each other for an extended period within the music scenes of Liverpool and Manchester, Andy Power (vocals, guitar) and Cain Garcia (guitar, drums), who were once part of the same band, made the decision to come together again, this time joined by Eleanor Krauza on bass.

So, Reverie succeeds in crafting a mood-laden yet lively composition, embellished with memorable pop hooks. The band's sound doesn't shy away from delving into the deeper textures of post punk, while mingled with a slightly more approachable songwriting style. It is a juxtaposition which creates an all around strong and notable sound.

Decaying becomes a promising introduction to the artistic aptitude of So, Reverie, hinting at the band's potential. Produced by Rob Whiteley and mastered by Mark Gardener of Ride, the track effortlessly encapsulates the creative vision of So, Reverie.
