Mesa, Arizona heavy hitters, Intent, return with the first example of their upcoming three-song EP, Sins of the Past, scheduled to come out on September 1st, 2023. Opening track, Number 12 (Looks Just Like You), is an intense thrash metal exemplar based on super fast riffs, impressive vocals, and relentless drums.
Intent are self-described as the essential thrash metal band of Arizona, and from the sounds of it, this portrayal is entirely justified.
Reflecting the essence of their EP's title, Intent's latest offering consists of tracks which have been reimagined and re-recorded, resulting in a renewed and dynamic sound. Number 12 (Looks Just Like You) appears quite invigorated, amplifying the band's trademark brutality to incredibly pleasing degrees.
