Forest Circles is the solo project of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Angel Ocana from Philadelphia, coming forth with a sound which combines elements of post punk, dreampop, and shoegaze.
Choke is a track from the project's new four-song EP, Doorway Cutter, and it's an artful, yet melodic, and all-around direct track which brings the shoegaze and post punk aspects of the band's style to a seamless summation. The song is accompanied by a monochromatic clip of black and red visuals which complement its magnitude.
Choke makes an impression in less than three minutes, and can also be quite memorable in regard to the songwriting, and general good ear for distorted tunefulness.
