Following their dynamic and politically-fused debut EP, Catcall, four-piece riot grrrl punks from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Skint Knees, return with the new single Boys Like You, a loud and energetic track with a radical essence.
Boys Like You captures the band's creative spirit and intent just about splendidly. Speaking of their band, Skint Knees describe themselves as "a collective of riot grrrl punks, angry at how we've been treated in the music scene and throughout our lives predominantly by males."
The new song was written by Skint Knees guitarist, Bella. The band remark: "We want to encourage people just like us to not be defeated and to do what they want and not be put down by a few people who may belittle them on the way."
Insistent and pragmatic at its core, Boys Like You leaves the impression of a classic punk rocker whose drastic lyricism speaks to all points in time.
