Heaven Slept: Mantis

South Georgian band Heaven Slept unveil another new track, adding to a solid early body of work with a great deal of potential. The band's sixth track in a three months period, Mantis, blends post punk and shoegaze in an expert and artful manner, resulting in something rather atmospheric with a darker edge.

Darker and gloomier vocals integrate with a robust, atmospheric instrumental founding, causing the band to sound more experimental and offbeat than in previous releases.

Heaven Slept comment on Mantis: "The song is ultimately about relationships - the give and take, push and pull. And the waiting, wondering and uncertainty between friends, partners, and family."
