Parallel: Field of Love

Oakland’s Parallel continue the tradition of the moodier and more tenebrous post punk psychedelia of bands like The Chameleons, Sad Lovers and Giants, as well as the catalog of 4AD, together with influences from the forefront of shoegaze.

The band's debut self-titled EP includes the hidden gem, Field of Love; an atmospheric and brooding four-minute song about love and romance in the midst of painful emotions of solitude.

Still very solemn, and leaning toward the band's hazier dreampop and slowcore facets, Field of Love is only one component of the multilayered magnetism that Parallel have to offer with their solid first EP.
