Total Chroma: Body Relics

Total Chroma is the solo project of Robert Katerwol (Wire Spine, Weird Candle), bringing forth a fairly propulsive and dynamic darkwave/dark industrial sound in the manner of old school EBM and artists such as Nitzer Ebb and Front 242.

Body Relics is the project's first full-length, a solid release built on icy synths and expansive production, culminating in something hard hitting and difficult to overlook.

"Conceptually, Body Relics was loosely inspired by a mishmash of fictional realities depicted in the various Philip K. Dick stories I was obsessed with at the time of writing," the artist comments.

In the character of the project's dark musical DNA, Mutation and I Dream of Fire, open the album with a punch, defining and ultimately achieving the darkness for which Total Chroma strives, while the rest of the nine-track album moves along the same lines, all dark and propulsive, tackling dark and gloomy subject. Often in a more concise way, and other times through more ambitious and expansive means, like the coldness of No Television and the intrigue of Lost In the Wild, Total Chroma's fully realized album is of authentic, current EBM and darkwave innovation.

Body Relics is out through Negative Gain Productions.
