The KVB will release Unity - Remixes EP via Invada Records on May 27th, 2022, including reworked versions of songs featured on their solid latest album Unity. The new renditions come from Drab Majesty, trentemøller, Moa Moa, Principleasure, maXlon and the band themselves.
trentemøller comments on the new take on Lumens: "I really love KVB’s original version but I wanted to see where I could take the song, especially the vocal melody. So I basically build up a whole new instrumental tune around the vocals. With brand new guitar and synth progressions , a new bass line and some simple programmed drums that fitted this new vibe of the song.”
The KVB comment on the entirety of the new EP: “It is always fascinating for us to hear other artists remix our work and each one of these remixes takes our tracks in its own unique electronic direction, without ever losing the sense of the original song. We were also glad to continue our tradition of reinterpreting one of our own tracks on Structural Index (After Hours Version), which is something we have done for each of our last three albums. We strongly suggest turning these up loud and losing yourself in the rhythms of a new kind of Unity."
One of 2021 very finest albums, Unity has been a work of many layers and a lot of diverseness, and this additional component of it which comes in the form of an expansive remixes EP, helps to further underline The KVB's distinction and multifariousness.
