Bank Myna: Aurora (vi ska sova)

With post rock being a rather open-minded genre by definition, occasionally some acts come into sight which push the art form's boundaries in a natural way. Parisian band, Bank Myna, present a pretty receptive take on post rock, adorned with elements from drone, doom rock, darkwave and other experimental sounds.

Bank Myna began back in 2013, and after a couple of EPs, they're gearing up for the release of their debut full length, VOLAVERUNT, an album with an improvisational foundation which puts to good use both traditional and unconventional instrumental means to achieve its moody atmosphere.

First example off the upcoming album, Aurora (Vi ska sova), illustrates the band's densely textured approach and their detailed production, while the enchanting vocal counterbalances the music's intricacy with extra warmth and approachability.

Bank Myna are Fabien Delmas (guitars, clocks, percussions), Maud Harribey (vocals, keyboards, synths, violin) and Daniel Machón (bass, noise box, sampler).

VOLAVERUNT will be released on February 25th, 2022.
