Design Flaw: Silence

Another track of heavy sentimentalism, Silence, becomes the second single by Washington, DC post hardcore band, Design Flaw, mingling the band's love for direct alternative rock with more underground forms of heaviness.

The band mention disparate bands among their sources of influence, such as Alcest, Deafheaven, Glassjaw, Deftones, Failure, Russian Circles, Sunny Day Real Estate, and TV on the Radio, thus their sound retains its post hardcore groundwork, but it also seems to be expanding toward varieties of emotive rock both more convoluted and more clear-cut.

The recent Ghost, and the brand new Silence were recorded and mixed by Kenny Eaton at Mystery Ton Studios (Giraffes? Giraffes!, Scale the Summit, Time Columns), and mastered by Will Yip (Nothing, Bartees Strange, Caspian, Circa Survive, Defeater). The cover artwork is by Duncan Gilchrist.
