Simon McCorry: Tipping Point

Experimental musician Simon McCorry has released his new album, I Laugh, I Cry, an atmospheric work of art which mainly draws from the realms of neoclassical and electronic music, giving the idea of something both time-honoured and avant-garde.

The artist's influences include diverse names like Aphex Twin, Jon Hassell, King Tubby and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, as well as 20th Century composer Gy├Ârgy Ligeti. Through his own sound McCorry manages to translate those different sources of inspiration into something cohesive, minimal and constantly enticing.

From the new album, Tipping Point is a suspenseful, textured track, blending electronics and piano in an idiosyncratic, yet, exciting way.
