Moon Panda: Visions

Intercontinental dreampop duo, Moon Panda, continue in the customary dreampop direction of their earlier material which has been widely well received, and deliver new single, Visions, drawing comparisons to the earthy familiarity of Beach House and Men I Trust, together with the psych pop riches of Melody's Echo Chamber and Warpaint.

Visions comes in a perpetually balmy, intimate and nostalgic tone, all of which are expected to be pivotal components in the band's forthcoming debut album, Cloud Watching. Until then, the new standalone single works as a bold note of the duo's eminent status as a rising act.

This song is kind of a form of self-comfort,” they comment on Visions. “It started with that hypnotic, repeating guitar line which turned into a bit of a lullaby. It starts in a pretty vulnerable place and then slowly takes off into something more lush and resilient. I think, 'Keep yourself from going down, focus on the rhythm,' sums it up pretty well.

Moon Panda consist of American songwriter, singer, bassist Maddy Myers and Danish guitarist Gustav Moltke.

Visions is out now through Fierce Panda.
