Pardoner: Spike

San Francisco's Pardoner are on the rise, and all evidence suggest that their impending full length, Came Down Different, is going to leave a mark. Second single off it, Spike, follows the previous one's indie pop directness, but it comes even more ragged and discordant, as well as extremely fast, with a raucous punk edge; all that in less than a minute and a half.

Spike is a sweeping piece "about making money for the man," and its punk rock bluntness can be very relatable to the working class or anyone who have put hard work in for someone else's benefit, especially at a time of crisis like the current days, when bosses look to exploit their staff and the need for employment.

Came Out Different was recorded in only two days with Jack Shirley, and it releases on May 12th, 2021 through Bar/None Records.
