Loscil: Vespera

Canadian experimental producer, Scott Morgan, acclaimed in the world of underground electronica as Loscil, announces the new album, Clara, marking his return to Kranky for the first time since 2019's Equivalents.

The veteran musician's coming album is sourced from a single three-minute composition performed by a 22-piece string orchestra in Budapest. Although based on a restricted palette, Clara won't be giving the impression of something confined, and the first example of its expansiveness and depth is the six-minute cohesive ambiance of Vespera which comes paired to a mesmerizing visual.

Clara draws its title from the Latin word for ‘bright', and its concept deals with the themes of light, shade, and decay. "Shadows are amplified and bright spots dimmed."

Clara arrives on May 28th, 2021 through Kranky.
