Canada's Hex Beat recently released their new four-song EP, A Series of Kicks, through the indie imprint Mangled Tapes, and came up with a very creative video for the piercing opening track, Earning.
Musically the band's sound slants toward the nervier and jumpier angle of post punk, not at all shy in terms of intensity and grit, and produced to a sharp distinction.
The video, starring puppets and featuring handmade crafts, is made in true DIY nature, and takes a dark turn pretty fast, as it wholeheartedly matches the music's post punk fervency.
