Boris with Merzbow: Boris

An underground heavy rock standard, Boris by The Melvins appeared originally on the band's 1991 album, Bullhead. It has been previously covered in a collaborative effort by Isis and Agoraphobic Nosebleed as part of tribute compilation, We Reach: The Music of the Melvins, and now it's being interpreted by the band which adapted the song's title as their own name.

Boris is the second track revealed from the anticipated next album by Boris and Merzbow. The veteran heavy rock trio have touched on the song before through a passage heard in their own track, Vomitself, from 1998's Amplifier Worship, but this is the first time they officially cover it.

The song comes with a very impressive visual directed by rokapenis.

2R0I2P0 is out on December 11th, 2020 through Relapse Records.
