Holy Drone: Fibres

Warrington, UK psychedelic shoegazers, Holy Drone, return with their first new single since last year, the buoyant dreampop exemplar, Fibres, which finds their sound close to genre archetypes like Slowdive and Cocteau Twins.

Although the new song was written by the band during a period of lockdown, it expresses a lot of unaccustomed for the times optimism through its overall brightness which is achieved by the warm and soft vocal by singer Emma Taylor, the well contrived instrumentals and its direct lyricism.

Making a stronger impression for its soothing and mesmerizing qualities than for its fuzz, Fibres is a fitting addition to the ever-growing and fine catalog of Holy Drone, who keep delivering four years after their first release.
