Written and recorded between New York and California, and mixed by their frequent collaborator, producer James Aparicio (Nick Cave, Grinderman, Spiritualized), Dark Days is the upcoming EP by heavy shoegaze act, GHXST, and the follow up to their 2018 release, Gloom. The EP pulls inspiration from the book of the same name by James Baldwin, and it comes out in its entirety on November 16th, 2020.

P.U.R.R. is the first single off the coming release, and a concise piece which offers more of the characteristic doom-laden shoegaze for which the band is known, all dark and voluminous, and an overall engaging and excellent practice of repetition and monotony.

GHXST remark: "We built the beats to sound like an 808 booming out of a Cadillac window in Bed Stuy," the neigbourhood in Brooklyn, NY, which is the band's usual home base. "We hope someone blows out a speaker playing this record."
