Worship: Tunnels

Californian heavy rockers, Worship, will be releasing their six-song full length, Tunnels, on July 17th, 2020, and up to this point they have sampled it with a triplet of singles, all of which show different parts of the record's strength and its strong dynamics, going through passages of hardcore, sludge and noise rock sounds among the many styles of extreme heaviness it puts in force.

The album's title track is the most imposing of the three, and probably the most compelling piece in the band's catalog thus far. A doom metal slow burner which borders on post metal, the seven-minute song comes with a gripping structure, it capitalizes on its lengthiness, and pivots a lot on an impelling vocal performance which is utterly expressive.

"The song is about living away from your loved ones and knowing things are temporary," the band describe, as they prepare to follow their 2015 debut, All Too Human, with something that already appears really special.
