Howler: Say It Again

After a six-year hiatus Minneapolis indie punks, Howler, return with a new single, the very much robust, Say It Again, which apparently sounds and feels as if the band never went away.

Clocking in at only ninety-eight seconds, the new song is an exemplar piece of punk rock immediacy, bringing to mind the grit and animation of The Stooges coextensive with the rock 'n' roll nonchalance of Mudhoney, all wrapped up in a very compact outcome which pays off like a punch in the mouth.

Howler released two full length records and an EP, all on Rough Trade from 2011 to 2014, which generated a lot of positive feedback. Frontman Jordan Gatesmith went on to form Wellness, and now returns to the roots of his punk rock ingenuity, coming across rawer and more organic than ever, raising hopes for more from where this came.
