Mayflower Madame: Swallow

Following Vultures, the heady first specimen off their coming album, Prepared For A Nightmare, Norwegian post punk band, Mayflower Madame, reveal the second single, the fairly more accessible, Swallow.

Blending elements from darkwave, psychedelia, dreampop and surf rock, the song strangely becomes one of the band's most memorable efforts to date, despite the fact that it draws from such a diverse palette of styles and sounds, and regardless of the characteristically dark tone of Mayflower Madame's spirit remaining intact.

"It's a dreamy love song with nightmarish undertones," the band describe, "a tale about obsession and submission in an intensely absorbing relationship."

Swallow is paired to a multicolored clip of obscure, psychedelic visuals, directed by Astrid Serck, and filmed in Oslo, Norway, and Niagara Falls.

Prepared For A Nightmare come out on March 27th 2020 through Only Lovers Records (France), in collaboration with Little Cloud Records (USA) and Icy Cold Records (France).
