While experimenting with R&B, noise and trap sound through her latest project, NGHTCRWLR, the resolute and always prolific, Kristina Esfandiari offers another installment of her dark dreampop endeavors as Miserable, this time with a new track that is also part of the Adult Swim Singles Series.
There are no surprises to the fact that Damned to Love You sounds rather nuanced, wistful and soulful, and much like something that could have easily belonged to the atmospheric pop fineness of Miserable's latest full length, Uncontrollable from 2016.
Musician Emmett Kai handles the song's subtly textured and glossy production which matches and augments the jangly, reverberating guitar lines flourishing in the song's delicate structure.
Miserable will be soon on the road for a series of dates alongside (Sandy) Alex G.
