D//E Premiere: Autolith: Caustic Light

Massively heavy quartet from Memphis, TN, Autolith, will be releasing their album, Caustic Light, on March 27th, 2020 through Hand of Death Records, introduced with the opening title track, a brilliant four and a half-minute piece of extreme, harrowing heaviness which amalgamates elements from everything muddy, dark and weighty, and sounds which range from death metal to crust punk through doom and sludge.

Caustic Light leaves no prisoners, as its massive sound nods to the swampy sludge metal of bands like Eyehategod, with an underlying melodious groundwork, and a lyrical content overflowing with dark pessimism contrasted by headstrong fortitude, in an overall anarchic and utterly compelling outcome.

The track, very much expressive of Autolith's muscle and all round impressibility, streams for the first time right below.

Caustic Light was recorded at Ecko Records in Memphis. engineered and mixed by Justin Short and mastered at Audiosiege by Brad Boatright.

Autolith are Ian Younkin, Ryan O'Neal, Brian Hillhouse and Mark Brake.
