The prolific MONO have kept themselves very busy and creative this year, first with the release of the newest full length, Nowhere Now Here, then through the anniversary edition of their 2009 album, Hymn to the Immortal Wind, recently with the Steve Albini-helmed live EP, Before The Past, and now with a new collaborative release with upcoming dark musician, A.A. Williams.
The title track to the incoming two-song EP is a six-minute epic of beautiful sorrow, vocally sublime and instrumentally majestic, an immaculate manifestation of the two contributors' perfect unison. As the post rock veterans seem incapable of creating anything below perfect, and while A.A. Williams' potentiality becomes clear as day, the coming EP certainly feels like a compelling venture for both sides involved.
Exit in Darkness arrives December 13th, 2019 via Pelagic Records, while the physical editions will be out early 2020.
