Cursive: Black Hole Town

A year after the release of their successful LP, Vitriola, veteran indie rockers from Omaha, NE, Cursive, come back with new album, Get Fixed, which has already sprung a series of singles.

Black Hole Town is a beautiful delineation of the political charge and concern of which Tim Kasher's writing is made out on the new album. Composed of songs initially intended for Vitriola, the new album was later developed with much additional attention and concentration by the band who shaped Get Fixed as a totally autonomous and unique piece in their large body of work.

Ethically and philosophically aware, and wittily dark, Cursive's latest finds the band in full on creative mode, despite the fact that before Vitriola they'd been away for a long while, and this latest side of their expressiveness feels like one of the most genuine and innovative of their career thus far.

Get Fixed is out now through the band's own imprint. 15 Passenger.
