As the release of Tempers' upcoming third full length draws near, the New York duo reveal another excellent piece off it. Guidance is one of the strongest singles coming from Private Life thus far, and possibly one of the most imposing pieces in all of the band's catalog, as its perfect combination of darkness and memorability, affixed to a piercingly sharp production, makes it truly a standout.
When gloom and existentialism crash into each other like this, and when a piece carries such an electrifying mental and emotional drive, both excitement and poignancy follow.
