Cliff Martinez is another gifted and accomplished musician who derives from rock music, and developed to a successful film composer. Well known and received scores from movies such as Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Traffic, Solaris, The Lincoln Lawyer, Spring Breakers and dozens more are under his belt, alongside his celebrated work for the films of Nicolas Winding Refn; Drive, Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon. Now the skilled composer and the visionary director proceed on another collaboration, this time for the upcoming crime drama web television series, Too Old to Die Young.
It is a ten-episode original series directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, who also wrote it alongside the acclaimed comic book writer, Ed Brubaker, starring Miles Teller, Billy Baldwin, Jena Malone and John Hawkes. The series will premiere worldwide on June 14th, 2019 on Amazon Prime Video, and Milan Records will be releasing the soundtrack digitally on the same day, and on vinyl in July.
In only a little more than two minutes, Naked Guy Murder, sets the mood to a dark and ominous tone, utilizing both traditional and electronic means, in a juxtaposition which turns out sounding suspenseful and treacherous. Even without the intricate storytelling of its accompanying visual, the music is adequate for captivating and tantalizing its audience.
