Drowse: Between Fence Posts

A year after the acclaimed, Cold Air, Drowse aka Portland-based musician, Kyle Bates, returns with the announcement of a new full length, and a new, immersive track full of slowcore and dark post rock beauty.

Light Mirror, the upcoming LP by Drowse, releases June 7th, 2019 via The Flenser, and it is the result of Bates' innate creative power in relation to his emotionally complexity. Having left his home in Portland, OR, behind to pursue an artist residency in northern Iceland, Bates took in the perks of solitude and isolation, and apart from his collaboration with Maya Stoner, his longtime creative partner, he worked alone on new music upon his return home.

A true genre-defying stunner, first single, Between Fence Posts, recalls the ponderousness of acts such as Duster and Slint, while it reflects on Drowse's own intricacy and the profoundness of his lyrics.
