The Ninth Wave: Used To Be Yours

Infancy will be the title of the anticipated upcoming album by Scottish up and coming act, The Ninth Wave. We're not getting it all at once once. Part I of the album will be out on April 26th and Part II on November 15th, 2019 on Distiller Records. The album's announcement comes with the unveiling of a new single, Used To Be Yours, surprisingly featuring bassist, Millie Kidd, responsible for the lead vocals for the first time, engaging in a charmingly interactive duet with frontman, Haydn Park-Patterson.

"The song is set in the No Man’s Land that you find yourself in after a relationship ends, where you still feel like you have some sort of possession over each other," says Millie. "It reflects upon the inability to find comfort in one’s own company."

Used To Be Yours follows the previously revealed, Half Pure, Sometimes the Silence is Sweeter and A Wave Goodbye to the People Who Said I'd Win, all of which paint a shadowy and attractive picture about the coming album's concept and its enticing sharpness; a wonderful blend of power pop and post punk, with an appealing twist, based on sounds and aesthetics that come straight from the dark, glittering and romantic eighties.
