The KVB: Violet Noon

Only Now Forever, the wholesome and fully realized last album by UK darkwave duo, The KVB, keeps on delivering, almost half a year after its release on Invada Records.

Quoting influence from the timeless love song duets by Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra, LP standout, Violet Noon, gets a wonderful visual to accompany the music's dark charm.

"We shot the video last October, on the last unseasonably warm day of the year on the Jurassic coast in Dorset on the south coast of England," the band clarify. "For us, the dreaminess of the video perfectly reflects the otherworldliness of this song, it feels like a hazy memory, timeless and romantic."

"Violet Noon is a dark love song set against the backdrop of the apocalypse," the duo comment on the song. "While the world falls apart all you can think of is the person you want to spend those last moments with."
