Holy Fawn: Dark Stone

Six months after the release of their album, Death Spells, on the indie label, Whelmed Records, and the excellent video for Drag Me Into The Woods, the word about the dark post metal superiority of Phoenix-based band, Holy Fawn, is getting out far, and it reaches bigger audiences.

Death Spells now gets a re-release via Triple Crown Records, home to Caspian and Covet, and to mark the album's proper release, the band unveil another brooding clip for their six-minute epic, Dark Stone, directed by Matt Cardinal.

Conveying an exploratory sound that blends noise rock, post rock, doom and shoegaze, the loud four-piece's beautiful intensity remains extremely underappreciated, as both their engaging compositions and their acute production, are not far from the greatness found in some of extreme music's finest, such as Isis, Neurosis, Russian Circles and so forth.

As we mentioned six months ago, Death Spells is an album of great importance that needs to be experienced in its entirety.
